Many perspectives
A single painting can carry a curator's reading, an art historian's deep-dive, and a child's favourite detail. Visitors find the commentary they're most interested in.
Wozani turns curators, experts and passionate visitors into a chorus of guides. Visitors pick a tour, or we build one around their interests and the time they have, and listen in their own language.

For museums & curators
Traditional audio guides are costly to produce, and one size needs to fit all. Wozani lets a community of knowledgeable people (your curators, local experts, students and lifelong enthusiasts) record short commentaries on the works you already display, each from a different perspective. You decide how involved you want to be.

Anyone, but especially reviewers approved by your institution, can flag a commentary about your collection for removal, and we work directly with partner museums to review, verify and steward how they appear on Wozani.
Works still under copyright are never reproduced as images. We show a clear note in their place instead. Creators keep the rights to what they record.
The app is already available in English, French, Dutch and German, and commentaries can be translated into any major language while keeping the original commentator's voice.
Designed for screen readers and keyboard navigation, in step with the European Accessibility Act.
Wozani is an independent non-profit. There is no cost to your museum and none to your visitors.

Trust & authenticity
Wozani is only as good as the people on it, so trust is built into how every commentary is published and reviewed.
Why "Wozani"
Wozani (pronounced wo-ZAH-nee) is a Zulu invitation meaning "come, all of you", the plural imperative of the verb to come. It's also a quiet nod to the founder's South African roots.
It is built as a non-profit, sustained by grants and museum partnerships rather than advertising or data.
Whether you look after a collection or simply love telling people about the art you care about, we would genuinely love to hear from you.
